Arts Management Program

Simply put, it's bringing art to life.

Arts Management prepares students to create, develop, facilitate, and evaluate arts and cultural programs and organizations. Students explore the leadership, business, and administrative sides of the arts and take advantage of diverse internships and professional experiences in the creative sector. Many students double major or minor in an artistic discipline or in related areas across campus. The possibilities are endless.

Charleston is the place to be to study arts management! Situated in a vibrant city with a flourishing arts community, our program offers numerous opportunities for internships, career networking, and special projects. In addition, our faculty members all have strong professional connections and broad experience – regionally, nationally, and internationally – within the arts.

Expand Your Education

In addition to the undergraduate programs, you may want to consider the Accelerated B.A. and M.P.A. prorgram. In just five years, you'll graduate with your bachelor's degree and master's degree. This combined program integrates contemporary arts management skills with skills essential for careers in the public sector.

The 15-credit Graduate Certificate in Arts and Cultural Management is a great way to increase your skills in just one year. It's also a perfect complement to students pursuing a Master's in Public Administration or Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing

The Arts Management Program gave me all the resources and connections I needed. It’s one thing to book the band and make the poster, but you need to understand the logistics.
