Antonio Gibson NE RB
Patriots' Antonio Gibson: Eight touches in Week 3
7h agoGibson rushed five times for 29 yards and secured all three targets for eight yards in the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the Jets on Thursday night.
Gibson logged one fewer carry than Rhamondre Stevenson but outgained him by six rushing yards. Gibson was also the only one of the two involved in the passing game, albeit to a modest degree. Gibson's downturn was notable considering he'd posted 96 rushing yards just four days earlier against Seattle, but the entire offensive environment for New England was depressed Thursday night. Gibson will look to bounce back in a Week 4 road battle against the 49ers on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Demario Douglas NE WR
Patriots' DeMario Douglas: Busy night in Week 3 loss
7h agoDouglas secured seven of nine targets for 69 yards and rushed once for nine yards in the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the Jets on Thursday night.
Douglas was essentially the lone offensive bright spot for the Patriots on the night, posting team-high totals across his receiving line. It was quite the resurgence for the second-year wideout, who'd been blanked altogether, including in targets, during the Week 2 overtime loss to the Seahawks. Douglas may prove to be the most consistent member of an inexperienced Patriots receiving corps over time, and he'll look to build on Thursday's momentum in a Week 4 road matchup against the 49ers on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Allen Lazard NYJ WR
Jets' Allen Lazard: Another TD in win
8h agoLazard secured all three targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Lazard and Aaron Rodgers had recreated some of their old Packers magic in Week 1 against the 49ers, but the former had been held to just 11 receiving yards in Week 2. However, the chemistry was reignited Thursday night, with Lazard finishing with the second-highest receiving yardage total on the night for New York and bringing in a 10-yard scoring grab with 4:21 remaining in the first quarter. The seventh-year wideout had 11- and 27-yard catches on his other two receptions, so even with the downfield presence of Mike Williams on the field, it appears there's room for Lazard to thrive with his old Green Bay battery mate.
-
Tyler Conklin NYJ TE
Jets' Tyler Conklin: Breakout effort in Week 3 win
8h agoConklin brought in five of six targets for 93 yards in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Conklin was the surprise co-leader in receptions on the night for the Jets while also setting the pace in receiving yards by a very wide margin. Conklin recorded multiple chunk gains, including his game-long 22-yard grab in the second quarter that got the ball down to the Patriots' six-yard line. There had been preseason talk of Conklin being a potential beneficiary of Rodgers being under center, but Thursday night was the first time that came to fruition after the veteran tight end generated just a 2-16 line through the first two games. Conklin will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 4 home matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Jacoby Brissett NE QB
Patriots' Jacoby Brissett: Benched late in Week 3 loss
8h agoBrissett completed 12 of 18 passes for 98 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the Jets on Thursday night. He was replaced by Drake Maye with 4:24 remaining in the game.
Brissett's final numbers, which also included five sacks taken, tell the tale of how difficult a night it was for the Patriots offense. The veteran signal-caller hasn't averaged more than 5.5 yards per attempt in any of his first three contests, but due to the fact New England's Week 4 matchup on Sunday, Sept. 29 involves a visit to the 49ers, Brissett could get the call over the inexperienced Maye for that daunting assignment.
-
Drake Maye NE QB
Patriots' Drake Maye: Makes pro debut in fourth quarter
8h agoMaye replaced Jacoby Brissett with 4:24 remaining in the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the Jets on Thursday night and completed four of eight passes for 22 yards while adding two rushes for 12 yards.
Maye ended up helming a ragged 16-play, 46-yard drive that encompassed the final 4:24 of the game and culminated with the rookie third overall pick taking a sack at the Jets' 12-yard line. His longest completion came on the final pass he got off, a 15-yard connection with DeMario Douglas. Brissett threw for just 98 yards and averaged 5.4 yards per attempt while taking five sacks, so it remains to be seen if Maye, who was essentially just as ineffective over a more condensed period, will be considered for a daunting Week 4 road start against the 49ers on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Aaron Rodgers NYJ QB
Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Best game as Jet yet
8h agoRodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night. He also rushed three times for 18 yards.
Rodgers connected with Allen Lazard and Garrett Wilson for touchdown passes of 10 and two yards, respectively, on his way to his best game as a Jet yet. Rodgers' passing yardage total was his highest since Week 9 of the 2022 season, when he threw for 291 yards against the Lions as a member of the Packers. The four-time NFL MVP recorded completions to eight pass catchers overall, and he appears to clearly be shaking off the last of the rust he accumulated in 2023 as he preps for a Week 4 home matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Taysom Hill NO QB
Saints' Taysom Hill: Returns as limited Thursday
14h agoHIll (chest) was a limited practice participant Thursday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
After Hill sat out Wednesday's session, coach Dennis Allen relayed hope that the tight end would return as limited one day later. Indeed, that has come to pass, but Hill still has some work to do as a result of the chest injury that forced him from this past Sunday's victory at Dallas and also resulted in a visit to a local hospital. Hill will have one more opportunity to practice this week before the Saints potentially give him a designation ahead of Sunday's contest versus the Eagles.
-
Justin Herbert LAC QB
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Limited in return to practice
16h agoHerbert (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday.
After logging a DNP on Wednesday, Herbert's return to a limited session a day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers. Per Kris Rhim of ESPN.com, the QB appeared to have his right ankle heavily taped Thursday, so it remains to be seen if Herbert will be able to upgrade to full participation Friday. If that doesn't occur, Herbert likely would head into the weekend with a Week 3 injury designation.
-
Russell Wilson PIT QB
Steelers' Russell Wilson: Still limited at practice
16h agoWilson (calf) remained limited at practice Thursday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Though Wilson still isn't practicing fully, he noted Thursday via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, "I'm definitely gaining ground. I feel good. I was able to do a lot more work today, yesterday, so we're getting better every day." That said, Varley indicated that the Steelers continue to prepare for Sunday's game against the Chargers, moving forward with Justin Fields working as their perceived QB starter for Week 3. Wilson now has one more chance to upgrade to full practice participation before Pittsburgh's final injury report is posted Friday.
-
Antonio Gibson NE RB
-
Rhamondre Stevenson NE RB
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Disappointing night in Week 3 loss
8h agoStevenson rushed six times for 23 yards and lost a fumble in the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the Jets on Thursday night.
Game script and a stingy Jets defense conspired to limit Stevenson to his lowest numbers of the season through three games. Stevenson had eclipsed 20 carries in each of his first two contests, and in addition to not getting anywhere close to that workload Thursday, the fourth-year back's early fourth-quarter lost fumble at the Patriots' 35-yard line led to a New York field goal that essentially sealed New England's fate. Stevenson has a tough assignment in his Week 4 bid to bounce back, as he'll tangle with the 49ers defense on the road on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Breece Hall NYJ RB
Jets' Breece Hall: Productive all-around game Thursday
8h agoHall rushed 16 times for 54 yards and a touchdown and secured four of five targets for 29 yards in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Hall was outproduced by rookie teammate Braelon Allen, who notably garnered 11 carries of his own and outgained Hall by one yard on the ground. However, of the two, it was Hall who found the end zone, recording a one-yard touchdown run just before the halfway point of the second quarter. The third-year pro also posted the second-most receptions on the Jets for the night, and Hall now has 16 catches (on 19 targets) through the first three games. He'll now prep for a favorable Week 4 home matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Jeff Wilson MIA RB
Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Logs full practice Thursday
12h agoWilson (oblique) practiced fully Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Wilson was ruled out late in last Thursday's loss to the Bills with an oblique injury, but after a limited session to begin Week 3 prep Wednesday, he was able to handle every rep one day later. Fellow running back Raheem Mostert's (chest) reps again were capped Thursday, though, so there remains a question mark in the Dolphins backfield behind No. 1 option De'Von Achane. If Mostert is inhibited or even out Sunday at Seattle, Wilson would be the top candidate to fill in behind Achane.
-
Raheem Mostert MIA RB
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Another limited session
12h agoMostert (chest) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
After Mostert emerged from Week 1 with a chest injury, the Dolphins held him out of practice on a short week and then ruled him out for last Thursday's contest versus the Bills. As Miami reconvened this week, he's been able to maintain his activity level through two sessions, but his listing on Friday's injury report will be key as it pertains to his odds to return Sunday at Seattle. Once he's cleared for game action, Mostert likely will take a back seat to second-year pro De'Von Achane out of the Dolphins backfield.
-
Kenneth Walker III SEA RB
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: No practice again Thursday
12h agoWalker (oblique) officially didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Walker hasn't taken part in drills since suffering an oblique injury during a Week 1 win against the Broncos, but he may be making some progress in his recovery, as he was spotted running on a side field during warmups prior to Thursday's session, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. Before sitting out Week 2 at New England, Seattle listed him as doubtful to suit up, so the team could take a similar approach when it posts its final practice report of the week Friday. Zach Charbonnet is on hand to man the Seahawks backfield if Walker misses a second consecutive game Sunday versus the Dolphins.
-
Demario Douglas NE WR
-
Mike Williams NYJ WR
Jets' Mike Williams: Three grabs in Week 3 win
8h agoWilliams secured three of four targets for 34 yards in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Williams took another step forward in his third game working with Aaron Rodgers, setting new season highs in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The veteran wideout has gone from not being targeted Week 1 to a 1-19-0 line Week 2 to Thursday's performance, indicative that he's both rounding into form following last season's ACL tear and developing chemistry with Rodgers. Williams next faces a foe he's familiar with from his AFC West days, as the Broncos will pay a Week 4 visit to MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Garrett Wilson NYJ WR
Jets' Garrett Wilson: Records touchdown in Week 3 win
8h agoWilson brought in five of nine targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Wilson tied Tyler Conklin for the team lead in receptions while setting the pace in targets. The third-year receiver's scoring grab was his long-awaited first in conjunction with Aaron Rodgers and came from two yards out with just over six minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Jets' air attack saw eight different players record receptions Thursday, but Wilson remains its clear No. 1 option heading into a Week 4 home battle against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Malik Washington MIA WR
Dolphins' Malik Washington: Limited again
12h agoWashington (quadriceps) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The 2024 sixth-round pick missed all three sessions leading up to Week 2, so he's making progress toward his NFL debut. Washington's status Friday will be worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks. The wide receiver might be able to challenge Braxton Berrios for Miami's third spot behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
-
Tyler Lockett SEA WR
Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Limited again Thursday
12h agoLockett (thigh) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The Seahawks have kept Lockett's practice reps in check so far this season, but the limitations haven't impacted his ability to suit up on game day. Even if he enters the weekend with a questionable designation for Sunday's contest against the Dolphins, he'll very likely be active and be looking to build upon a modest 8-92-0 line on nine targets through two outings to begin the campaign.
-
Tyler Conklin NYJ TE
Jets' Tyler Conklin: Breakout effort in Week 3 win
8h agoConklin brought in five of six targets for 93 yards in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
Conklin was the surprise co-leader in receptions on the night for the Jets while also setting the pace in receiving yards by a very wide margin. Conklin will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 4 home matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
-
Brady Russell SEA TE
Seahawks' Brady Russell: Upgrades to limited Thursday
12h agoRussell (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Russell opened the week as a DNP on Wednesday, but he was able to practice in a limited capacity Thursday. His participation in Friday's session will provide a better indication of his status for Week 3 against the Dolphins. Russell has primarily operated on special teams over the first two games of the regular season, and while he is listed as the Seahawks' fourth tight end on the depth chart, he could see more action Sunday if Noah Fant (toe) and/or Pharaoh Brown (foot) cannot play.
-
Noah Fant SEA TE
Seahawks' Noah Fant: Stays limited in practice
12h agoFant (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
For a third week in a row to kick off the season, Fant's toe injury has impacted his on-field work in advance of game day. In both Weeks 1 and 2, though, he entered the weekend without a designation, something that will be clarified, one way or another, when Seattle posts its final practice report of the week Friday ahead of Sunday's contest versus the Dolphins.
-
Tommy Tremble CAR TE
Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Stays limited Thursday
14h agoTremble (hamstring/back) was limited at Thursday's practice, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Opening Week 3 prep with consecutive capped sessions due to hamstring and back issues leaves Tremble with some work to do to avoid a designation on Friday's injury report. Assuming he ultimately is able to suit up Sunday at Las Vegas, he'll be vying with rookie fourth-round pick Ja'Tavion Sanders for TE reps in an Andy Dalton-led offense.
-
Adam Trautman DEN TE
Broncos' Adam Trautman: Cleared on injury report
14h agoTrautman (shoulder) was a full participant during practice Thursday.
Trautman was limited Wednesday, putting his status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers in question. However, his return Thursday will put any concerns to rest, and he should be good to go for Week 3.
-
Tanner Hudson CIN TE
Bengals' Tanner Hudson: Not over injury
14h agoHudson (knee) did not practice Thursday.
Hudson has been dealing with a knee injury since preparation for Week 2 began. Although he ultimately suited up last Sunday, he never got on the field and was likely only active in case of emergencies. With the Bengals not playing until Monday against the Commanders, he'll have an extra day to recover for the matchup. Although based on Week 2, even if he is active, there's no guarantee he'll get in the game.
-
Joshua Karty LAR K
Rams' Joshua Karty: Still not practicing
11h agoKarty (groin) didn't practice Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
With back-to-back absences to open Week 3 prep, Karty is trending in the wrong direction to be available for Sunday's game against the 49ers. The Rams could signal whether or not Karty has a chance to play this weekend on its final injury report of the week Friday or by elevating Tanner Brown from the practice squad Saturday. In the end, one of Karty or Brown will be L.A.'s placekicker for Week 3.
-
Matt Gay IND K
Colts' Matt Gay: Should be good to go Sunday
15h agoGay (quadriceps) was a full participant during practice Thursday, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Gay didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to a full session Thursday is an encouraging sign that suggests he'll be handling kicking duties for the Colts on Sunday against the Bears. After missing the Colts' Week 1 loss to the Texans, Gay returned to action for the Week 2 loss to the Packers and knocked down his lone extra-point try and one of two field-goal attempts.
-
Matt Gay IND K
Colts' Matt Gay: Kicking at Thursday's practice
18h agoGay (quadriceps) is handling kicking duties at practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Gay couldn't practice Wednesday, so it's encouraging to see him back on the field Thursday. The veteran kicker missed Week 1 due to offseason sports hernia surgery and is now nursing a new quad issue, but he looks to be making good progress ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bears. The Colts also have kicker Spencer Shrader on the practice squad.
-
Cameron Dicker LAC K
Chargers' Cameron Dicker: Misses first PAT of his career
21h agoDicker made both of his field-goal attempts but missed one of three extra-point tries in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Panthers.
Dicker missed the first point-after attempt of his NFL career after the Chargers' opening-drive touchdown. He was perfect afterward though, making field goals from 46 and 42 yards out, while also making the PATs on the team's other two touchdowns.
-
Joshua Karty LAR K
Rams' Joshua Karty: Sits out practice Wednesday
1d agoKarty (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
The Rams' rookie kicker tweaked his groin in last Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Cardinals. Through two contests, Karty has drilled all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point attempts. Head coach Sean McVay said earlier in the week that he expects Karty to be available for Sunday's game against the 49ers, but the Rams signed Tanner Brown to the practice squad Tuesday as a potential replacement if Karty doesn't bounce back from the groin injury as anticipated.
-
Matt Gay IND K
Colts' Matt Gay: Unable to practice Wednesday
2d agoGay (quadriceps) did not practice Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Gay is dealing with a quad injury after missing Week 1 while recovering from sports hernia surgery. The veteran missed a field-goal attempt wide left from 50 yards during Indianapolis' loss to Green Bay, though he converted his only other attempt from 34 yards out, plus his lone extra-point try. Gay will have two more chances to improve his practice level ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears.
-
Jabrill Peppers NE FS
Patriots' Jabrill Peppers: Already back in
10h agoPeppers (ankle) is back in the game Thursday after leaving earlier in the first half, Taylor Kyles of CLNSMedia.com reports.
The starting safety exited after getting tangled up with teammate Keion White, but he was jogging on the sideline, per Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican. Peppers has four tackles (three solo) in the contest.
-
Jabrill Peppers NE FS
Patriots' Jabrill Peppers: Questionable to return Thursday
10h agoPeppers (ankle) is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Jets, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports.
The starting safety had to go to the blue medical tent after getting tangled up with Keion White, but he was also spotted jogging on the sideline, per Mason. The veteran made three tackles (two solo) before leaving the field.
-
Decobie Durant LAR CB
Rams' Cobie Durant: Returns to practice
11h agoDurant (toe) was a limited participant in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
It's a step in the right direction for the starting cornerback ahead of Sunday's matchup with the 49ers. Durant injured the toe during the Rams' season-opening loss to the Lions and played 73 percent of the defensive snaps in Week 2. Durant has five tackles and a pass defensed across the first two games.
-
Jaelan Phillips MIA OLB
Dolphins' Jaelan Phillips: Full participant Thursday
11h agoPhillips (Achilles) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The linebacker was a limited participant Wednesday after playing 56 snaps across Miami's first two games. Phillips suffered the Achilles tear last November. The fourth-year pro made two tackles, including a sack, in the Dolphins' first two contests.
-
Leonard Williams SEA DE
Seahawks' Leonard Williams: Back at practice Thursday
12h agoWilliams (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice session, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Williams was held out of practice Wednesday due to a knee issue, but he was able to see the field Thursday, albeit in limited fashion. The 2015 first-round pick will need to log a full session Friday to avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Williams has recorded six tackles (two solo), including 1.5 sacks, over the first two games of the regular season.
-
Boye Mafe SEA LB
Seahawks' Boye Mafe: Limited in return to practice
12h agoMafe (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Mafe injured his knee during Seattle's Week 2 win over New England. He opened the week as a DNP, but he was able to return to practice in a limited fashion Thursday. Friday's injury report will provide clarity on Mafe's status for Sunday's game against Miami. The 2022 second-round pick has nine tackles (six solo), including 2.0 sacks, over the first two games of the regular season.
