Arizona State Parks

September 4th is National Wildlife Day, but we’re celebrating Arizona's diverse and captivating wildlife species for the entire month in Arizona’s state parks. Arizona is home to an incredible variety of species, and our parks are the perfect place to view these animals in their natural habitats. 

Arizona is stacked with diverse, high elevation regions that offer respite from the heat and allow OHV enthusiasts to explore beautiful places where temperatures are more forgiving. Eastern Arizona’s White Mountains fit the bill to allow all day trail exploration without risk of heat-related illness. 

August hits, sometimes making you feel like it’s enough already with the hot summer temps. You miss the days of hitting the trail without waking up before dawn, and you start to think about the cooler days of fall that still seem so far away. But don’t despair! Arizona has outdoor recreation options year-round.
